THE TEAM

Cameron Beyl is an award-winning director and writer of independent features, shorts, and documentaries. His work has been featured in numerous film festivals, museums and online media outlets like Sight & Sound Magazine, The Huffington Post, Vice Creators Project, Indiewire, and Slate. His narrative works have claimed top festival honors, lauded for their striking visuals and resonant storytelling. His ongoing video essay project, THE DIRECTORS SERIES, has also established him as a prominent voice in the world of online film scholarship, with Indiewire citing the project as a “significant contribution” to the discipline.
After graduating cum laude with a degree in film production from Emerson College, Cameron made his professional debut at the 2009 Zero Film Festival, taking home the Best Feature award for his experimental microbudget drama, SO LONG, LONESOME. The 2012 Oregon Independent Film Festival awarded the Best Director prize on his follow-up feature, the entirely-improvised character drama, HERE BUILD YOUR HOMES. In the years since, he has steadily built up a body of work that includes music videos, promotional content, and short narratives. His latest feature, a cosmic horror-sci-fi titled THE VEIL, screened at the HP Lovecraft Film Festival and the Austin Film Festival and was featured in Fangoria and Dread Central before releasing on major TVOD and AVOD platforms in October 2024. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife & daughter.
CAMERON BEYL

Kyle is a Los Angeles-based producer, writer, and actor with almost two decades of experience in the business. An Emerson College graduate, he is one half of the creative team behind FilmFrontier Studios, whose debut feature production, the cosmic horror ghost story The Veil, screened at several festivals including Austin Film Festival's 30th Anniversary program. The team has a number of projects in development written by Kyle, including the feature film H(a)unted, as well as narrative and docuseries podcasts like the upcoming Tinseltown Ghost Stories.
Kyle is also the creator and host of Make Your Sh*t, a creative empowerment podcast. In addition to his professional artistic work, Kyle has a decade of experience as a script development consultant. He has run several major screenwriting contests and development programs around the industry, and his client list includes television showrunners, celebrated authors, and Emmy nominees.

John Maletis is a Portland, Oregon native and a partner in FilmFrontier Studios. His business experience ranges from diverse industries such as aviation, food and beverage, real estate, and now film, having served as an executive producer on FilmFrontier Studios' debut feature, THE VEIL. John has a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and an MA in Theology from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. John's philosophical approach to business is relationship-focused — a natural alignment with the ethos of FilmFrontier Studios.

Morgan is a director/producer/actor based in Los Angeles. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Acting. With experience as an Associate Producer on shows like LET'S MAKE A DEAL for CBS and PASSWORD for NBC, she has a solid background in television production. Her true passion lies in narrative storytelling, and Morgan has successfully produced independent short films, including ASHES ASHES WE ALL FALL DOWN, and this year she associate produced her first feature film, D(E)AD. Also an actress, she was recently cast in two short films; a comedy about art, THE PIECE, as well as a contemplative drama, THE COST OF CONSIDERATION. She is thrilled to join the Filmfrontier Team!
MORGAN RUTTER

Emily Castro is a queer screenwriter born and raised in Riverside, California. She attended California State University of Fullerton where she earned her Bachelor’s in Communications and minored in creative writing. Emily is pursuing her storytelling dreams of writing and directing by freelancing in the industry and collaborating with other artists. When she’s not typing away at her desk or assisting on a set, you can find her working as a set watch officer at Warner Brothers Studios.
